Don't Repeat This Epic Cloud Fail
So I usually post only the great ski videos. But there are lessons to be learned in the most epic of failures. I had one in particular that I would like to share. Ever make the wrong decision about your technology? And then do it over and over and over again? Well here's another one of my skiing analogies. Buying storage or compute from the same vendor over and over and waiting for a better experience is not a good idea. You need and deserve the best technology experience now. That's kind of like me. I've got let us say, a delicate spinal column and left leg. So I keep my bindings quite loose so I can twist out at the end of every run. But recently I left them a little too loose after a long pandemic delay. What's the result of using the same tech from 2 years ago and not adjusting my bindings? AN EPIC CLOUD FAILURE....that can look a little like an epic ski failure. Check it out for yourself. My left leg is a bit numb and has a few breaks under it's belt so I tend to be a little cautious with my binding settings on that leg. But this day I left both my bindings too loose and it led to near disaster. Just like sticking with the an infrastructure vendor that doesn't meet your needs or paying for IaaS services you never use.
