Don't Read my Book

Don't Read my Book

Hi friends. Because I value people's time, I'm here to encourage you not to read my book. It'd be a waste of your time.

It's not even for sale anymore. How to Teach | For Those Who Do was a set of lessons that I had learned as a teacher that I wanted my friends and family who were in other fields to understand...because they teach sometimes.

Work worth doing, right?

But the book isn't the right tool. Even though it was only 50 pages long. (50 pages is a boatload!).

In 2024, a GPT is the right tool. But, we don't really know how to give our GPTs to the world like we know how to give books. There's no Amazon you can buy it from, and if there was, would you know how to engage with it right off the bat?

Na.

But this Sunday, instead of writing new ideas, I will improve access to the set I've done the most workaround.

You do need a GPT Plus account to interact with it, but I think it's becoming a safer bet that most do, so the time is nigh.

So here it is, along with 2 high-level ideas about how to use it -- the rest you can figure out.

Idea 1: If you're not sure where to start, ask it.

Idea 2: If you miss old bookee-stuff like stories, ask for some specific stories from the book. If you just want it to get to the point, ask it to get to the point.

Teach Anything | A tool you can go to before you teach coworkers or employees something important to increase the likelihood that it lands and sticks.

Ew -- it's no longer a book on Amazon. It's a link on LinkedIn. More useful, but less glamorous. Enjoy?
