Since childhood, I remember, the wisdom of the ageless poem "Perseverance" by William Hickson that echoed with a simple yet powerful message: "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again." In the world, grit often outshines the constraints of time.
In one of the stories of Robert the Bruce (the king who won Scotland's independence), he was forced into hiding after successive defeats, he sought solace in a cave where a chance encounter with a small spider wove a tale of inspiration.
In the quiet refuge of the cave, Robert witnessed the spider's persistent attempts to spin a web, facing failure after failure. The tiny creature, undeterred by its falls, embodied a spirit that mirrored the King's own struggle against overwhelming odds. Each climb, each fall, became a metaphor for resilience. In the delicate dance of silk, Robert found a reflection of his own journey—a reminder that even the smallest beings can teach profound lessons.
Inspired by the tiny arachnid's unwavering effort, Robert the Bruce found renewed inspiration to return and fight the English despite overwhelming odds and became victorious.
As professionals and entrepreneurs, there will be situations every day, to embrace challenges, persist in our pursuits, and recognize that true success is often born out of unwavering determination. Let's not Quit, let's do it!

1 年Thanks for sharing. Perseverance is a great virtue. Especially when it is backed up by belief in self, success is an inevitable outcome. Here is another perspective. It is not contrary to your post. Instead, I offer an alternative where there may be instances when quitting is a better solution. One need not associate quitting with a sense of guilt. Let me know your thoughts. https://www.dhirubhai.net/posts/jmraj_business-businesscoach-businesscoaching-activity-7012986916602077184-1bHY?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_android
