Self confidence is necessary in so many aspects of life. It allows you to be free, bold, to think clear, respond rather than react and just to live full out. Without self confidence you react to your emotions, rather than respond to the circumstances. It helps you make sound decisions and stick to them. It helps you not to allow fear to stifle you when going after what you want in life. It helps you not to second guess the decisions that you make.
It helps you in relationships to be clear, graceful, patient, longsuffering, giving and free from your past. Self confidence does not linger in self pity, wallow in non-productive actions or soak in negative thinking. Self confidence allows you to see your value, worth and place in the world. It also allows you to teach others through practicing these things as well and will not be afraid to kindly show people that don't value you the door. Self confidence is the key to living an abundant life.
And without it, you live life in a callous, negative, fearful world that clouds your judgement, muddle your actions and causes life to be a little harder than what it needs to be. Self confidence allows you to love freely, give of yourself freely and receive the same in return. Self confidence helps you achieve your goals without fear of failure because you understand that there is no success without failure, so you welcome it's challenges. Self confidence is a necessary component to living full out.
To attain the desired goal, even after facing mighty obstacles is the ambition of every youth. This ambition is really wonderful, without that life is meaningless. Only a man of confidence can convert challenge into an opportunity. The difference between great people and ordinary is; great people never consider defeats and failures as obstacles, where as ordinary people gets discouraged and stop moving further. Belief at the beginning of a doubtful start is the one thing that will guarantee the success of any venture.
And even the fool never begins a work for fear of failure; the mediocre gives up in the middle , frustrated by obstruction ; but the man of confidence never gives up , in spite of failures , till the goal is reached. A man of confidence says that he can do the work. A man of confidence always tries to encourage and help others in building their confidence. A man of confidence always attracts people.
Even the weak feel confident and elevated in his presence and get inspiration in his company. A man of confidence appreciates the success of others and shares his happiness with them. There is joy in working with people of confidence because they are always cheerful and can mix freely with everybody. A man of confidence always commands love and respect. Confidence can also be instilled into a person through speech and by force .
Remember Mahatma Gandhi in sixth standard was disheartened to learn Sanskrit for there is a lot in it to remember . He was tempted with easiness and sit in Persian class, one day. The Sanskrit teacher was grieved. He called Gandhi and said “ I want to teach students Sanskrit to the best of my ability . As you proceed further , you will find in it things of absorbing interest . You should not lose heart. Come and sit again in the Sanskrit class .” The kindness put Mahatma Gandhi to shame and he went on to learn Sanskrit and took interest in our sacred books.
Here is a poem by Edgar A.Guest "Don't Quit"
When things go wrong, as they sometimes will
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill
When the funds are low and the debts are high
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh
When care is pressing you down a bit
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns
As every one of us sometimes learns
And many a fellow turns about
When he might have won, had he stuck it out.
Don't give up though the pace seems slow
You may succeed with another blow.
Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint and faltering man;
Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victor's cup;
And he learned too late when the night came down
How close he was to the golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt
And you never can tell how close you are
It may be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit
It's when things seem worst that you mustn't quit.
Cheers!
