??What The TikTok Ban Means For Your Business
The moral of the impending TikTok ban in the US? Don’t put all your eggs in one social basket.
The TikTok ban is a timely reminder of the volatility of social - it’s not just bans, accounts can be hacked, deleted, or compromised. Platforms can suddenly change beyond recognition, and in the blink of an eye, stop aligning with brand or business needs. All the while, new social media platforms, such as Bluesky and RedNote, are being launched.
What does proactivity look like when the only certainty is uncertainty? In social, three things matter most: diversifying platforms; auditing exposure; and adjusting content strategy.

The year-long challenge works by saving 1p on the first day, then 2p on the second day, 3p on the third day, and so on. At the end of the year, you'll have saved a cool £667.95. It's a simple idea that turns small changes into smart savings. People can track the progress of their savings and also have the option to take a break at any time and catch up on missed days. Some resolutions might be daunting, but this penny challenge is the easy financial workout we all need.

??Sonos CEO Leaving After Botched App Revamp Led to Customer Revolt
?An app revamp that doesn’t hit the mark with users? We shouldn’t be surprised now, and the Sonos news is a very typical story of reduced user research and testing, cataloguing critical features and “simplifying” for the sake of pushing a new modern design, but not accounting for functionality first - aka rushing to a release.
?Deprioritising user research is a false economy - brands should be investing in understanding their customers, saving themselves both financially and reputationally further down the line. If they don’t, we’re just going to see more of these stories.
