Dont Postpone
I stare at the screen.
A blank document. A blinking cursor. An empty mind.
"I'll do it tomorrow," I say to myself. "When I'm feeling a bit more creative."
Maybe you know that feeling?
Tomorrow comes, and my inbox has entered the stratosphere. So, I gradually clear it out, and finish my TODO list with an hour to spare.
I could at least start writing that document now...
Or I could just leave it again. Which actually makes sense, because I don't have that much scheduled in my calendar tomorrow.
Except...
Tomorrow comes, and something else comes up. My time seems endlessly filled with distractions. Some genuine. Others fuelled by a subconscious laziness.
Before I realize it, a 3-hour task on my TODO list takes a whole month to complete.
And I don't even consider myself a procrastinator!
Has this ever happened to you?
Here's the thing... and I so often need reminding of it myself, which is why I'm typing these words right now...
? Procrastination is the enemy of success.
Waiting for perfection. Waiting for everything to line up. Waiting for a free chunk of time. These are signs of failure.
But just deciding to start... NOW...
That's the real sign of success.
You may delay, but time will not.
