Don’t Point… It’s Not Nice

Don’t Point… It’s Not Nice

Is it impolite to point... Or not?

?

I can still hear my mom say when I was growing up.. "Stephanie, don't point, it's not nice."

Ever been on an airplane and noticed that the attendants do the two finger direction thing so they don't end up pointing at anyone.... hmmmm

I used to agree with the whole impolite thing.? You know.. "don't be pointing at me". LOL!

?

But as a business owner.

Don't be the information.

Point to the information.

If you hate selling.

Don't be the hard core sales person. Have the thing in place that points to the information.

Lead capture, checklist, video, website.... point to the information.

One of my projects helps people save time and get leads on autopilot...

I am not about to get all tongue twisted and weird telling people about it.

I watched a video, it made sense to me.

?

So if people tell me they wish they had a way to NOT have to spend hours on facebook or LinkedIn looking for people who are looking for them.

I point them to the video.

Ask if they got it.

They can accept or not.

I am a concierge.

I mean think about it.

If the concierge at the restaurant gives you a suggestion based on what you told them you want to eat.

?

They point..

They give you directions and often say, "If you go let them know I sent you"

They don't get weird.? They don't refuse to give you any information the next time.

They point.

?

Is it nice to point?

Sorry mom.

Point, my friend.

Point.
