Most of us in the approved inspector industry /landscape have spent the last couple of years wondering what the eventual outcome of the Building Safety Bill would be, what it would mean for our role in the approval of buildings and how this will look for day-to-day operations.

With the BSB receiving Royal assent earlier this year and the HSE finally confirmed as the body responsible for regulation of the industry, many of us have questions around how this will work in practical terms.

In addition to Peter, Colin Blatchford Brown will also be in attendance. As Operational Policy Lead for Gateways & Building Control Building Safety Programme, Colin is in an ideal position to be able to provide a roadmap for the industry on how the Golden Thread will be used, the role and practicalities of multi-disciplinary teams and he will also be able to talk about the future role of the building control function.
