1. Rewriting your disempowering narrative (We all have self-limiting beliefs that prevent us from going to the next level. With many of my clients, these are most common thoughts. I didn't go to college... I don't have tech sales experience... I never sold B2B....I don't look like a typical top performing sales person (This is very common with women and people of color.)
2. The elephant in the room strategy -(If you know you don't have experience, for instance when you are transitioning to a closing role. Every manager will ask you what closing experience do you have? A way to get ahead of it is to bring it up during the beginning of the interview because there will be obviously thinking of it anyway.)
3. Double down on your secret sauce- (Many of us are good at a lot of different things but we might take it for granted because its something that comes easily to us. Having a coach can you identify these things and help you build confidence along the way.) We are often our worst critic.
4. Figuring out your blind spots -(Not changing who you are completely but it is helpful to identify your blind spots.) For instance, I was unorganized, got distracted a lot and I was afraid of conflict so working on being direct and not people pleasing so much has helped me grow my business and help me make waves through my entrepreneur journey. 5. Mentorship/Curating community - (We often try to figure out things alone with ourselves and there is so much power in leveraging mentors. I have guest speakers who come and mentor the community 2 or 3 times a month. (These are world renown sales coaches such as Ian Koniak , Mike Fiascone, Marcus A. Chan and many others).
6. Master the art of interviewing - Getting really good at interviewing is such a valuable skill. What other skill sets can allow you to double your income within the same year? Its a underrated skill that not many people are talking about. Subscribe to this newsletter and I'll unpack the steps/framework to be masterful at interviewing.
7. Proactively campaigning for promotions- Building relationships much earlier in the process will ensure that you are intentional about being the best candidate for the promotion when it comes. You need to work on this process, way before you need to ask for favors. I will share stories about this during my time at LinkedIn.
