Don't make the wrong call!
Instead of being in a queue, you'd want to stand out and let your brand do the talking!
There was a time when Social Media was considered by someone as a passing fad as against just another buzzword. But, we have evolved and come a long way.
It’s now the modern way to develop meaningful relationships which eventually will help you build a perception about the customer sentiments with respect to who they are, what they like and holistically how do they feel about the whole idea of someone being invested in them personally and professionally.
A lot of times in my discussion, we have had people come back to us requesting LinkedIn to share contact details of the individuals but the only point that I will make today is that it's just not about gaining access to contacts but about building relationships and rapport, be more of a consultant trying to address their pressing need and look at having more meaningful conversations than becoming just another irritant to swipe and delete.
I know, it can be a bit overwhelming at times trying to create a brand because getting to be known amongst the top industries, top notch minds and be more visible amongst your competitors won't happen overnight and of course you won't have people talk about a brand that they won't/can't remember. But, if you have managed to create a visible brand for yourself, you will have people connect with you now also at an emotional level and the more emotional they feel, less likely they will feel cynical and cynicism needs to be stripped away.
Don't you want to leave people feeling more empowered because it's the hallmark of a forward thinking company, company that cares truly cares about it's people.
Don't you want to be the organisation that truly wants to create an impact amongst the growing crowd?
Make your brand story (ethos, message) part of a bigger thing and focus on how the one key message can be universally conveyed. It ties in with what you do and makes you more powerful, more relevant.
