Don't Lose Momentum Over Easter

Don't Lose Momentum Over Easter

For some reason in the entrepreneurial world so many people accept that holidays have a detrimental impact on sales.

I observed three things happen last December.

  1. People said to themselves, oh no it's Christmas, I know my sales will drop off this month. Surprisingly they did.
  2. People didn't plan for the holiday period and the holiday period caught them out and their sales dropped off, potential clients they needed to speak to were suddenly out of office and so everything was paused until January.
  3. A smaller group of sassy entrepreneurs made a decision, to have a great December. They stepped up their activity and actually boosted their December income in a shorter working month.

Take this as your April (and May) heads up warning.

We're about to start a new month with Bank Holidays, School Holidays and then in May have extra Bank Holidays for King Charles' Coronation.

I'd recommend that you set yourself a goal for April and break that down into weekly actions, rather than just a big goal for the end of the month.

With more people taking holidays you NEED to ensure this doesn't impact YOUR business.

I want you to know that NOT everyone will be on holiday!

Your action plan to tackle the Easter break:

  • Attend business networking events, it's a great way to connect with people who are still working during the holiday season. So why not boost your business, your visibility, your connections and marketing activity by coming along to take up a free trial of Circle Networks and speak to people who are still hard at work.
  • Be consistent with your social media, if you think about it, it's not about the reach of your posts, it's about the right person seeing it and reacting to it. And I'd guess, you might only need one or two new clients over the Easter holidays.
  • Create a new mini marketing campaign. Spring is in the air are you revamping your marketing to leverage the change of season? Or are you just repeating what you've been doing? Creating something new could be just what you need in order to get someone to take action.

As small business owners we need to stick together and support each other.

Take inspiration - Never settle, never give up.

If I can help with any ideas or connections just drop me a message to ask.

ps

I'm working on a big business event in September and some people have told me I can't do it, little do they know, the more people tell me something can't be done, the more it pushes me forward to make it happen.

I remember someone telling me when I first started my business that maybe I should get a "real job" that just drove me on to prove them wrong. You can make your business amazing too.
