Sadly, procrastination by definition means you keep postponing things until you just don’t do them, deadlines loom, or you get a scolding from your boss or your wife (true story). Sometimes you can get away with it, but most of the time, procrastinating feels like failure.
This is a common issue that many of us struggle with. It’s easy to put things off until the last minute, but it’s not so easy to get them done when the deadline is looming. So, what causes procrastination?
Whatever the cause may be, procrastination can have a negative impact on our lives and our success. It can lead to stress, missed opportunities, and a lack of accomplishment. To stop this, we need to figure out why we put things off and come up with plans and habits that will help us stay on task. This can include setting specific goals, breaking tasks into smaller chunks, eliminating distractions, and setting up rewards systems. We also need to be mindful of our thoughts and feelings and practice self-care to reduce stress and increase focus.

Procrastination can be a real obstacle to success, but it doesn’t have to be. By figuring out why we put things off and making good habits, we can overcome this problem and reach our goals. Remember, the best time to start was yesterday, the second best time is today.
