When Idea Decanter Co-Founder Sharon was working as a food photographer back in her LA days, she and her team of food stylists were looking for perfection every day. This was pre-digital, so no easy Photoshop fixes for sloppy styling. Everything needed to be perfect right down to the placement of sesame seeds on a burger bun. It sometimes took all day to get one photo done.

It's always a relief to see the myth of perfection punctured — because it still gets in far too many people's way. Is perfection something to aspire to? Definitely.? Is it something you can actually achieve? Not according to nearly every dictionary definition, no.? So, just like you say, Sharon, take the next step. That's what's important. Will it be exceptional? Maybe. But you'll certainly increase your odds if you choose to learn from all the #@%*-ups you're bound to make by being bold enough to take action. Because, really, success is the result of scaling everything those #@%*-ups teach you.
