Don't let other's opinions define you...

I've done this, I had someone I worked for say to me "you only have this much potential, while I have 10x that" I really let that mess with my mind, it was a hurdle I had to overcome. Why did I let that bother me so? Why am I so weak? Who are they? Did they create me? Do they know the plan or the purpose for my life? Thankfully, I have a strong support team that encouraged me saying "No way don't believe that this is what you've done" Even then though I had to in my mind fight, those words would wake me up in the night, shout at me in the day, I had to and some days still do take those thoughts captive, remind myself continually that the God who created the universe and everything in it, believed it needed me. I have a plan and a purpose, I was chosen for such a time as this, I am royalty, I am fearfully and wonderfully made and all things will work together for good for me, I am loved, I am blessed with every spiritual blessing...Greater is He that is in me, so what should I fear, what can mere man do to me...I will laugh at the future, the warrior that lives in me has already won, so I am a victor!

I read recently about Thomas Edison how he came home from school and gave a paper to his mother. He said to her “Mom, my teacher gave this paper to me and told me only you are to read it. What does it say?”Her eyes welled with tears as she read the letter out loud to her child …“Your son is a genius. This school is too small for him and doesn’t have good enough teachers to train him. Please teach him yourself.”Many years after Edison’s mother had died he was going through a closet and he found the folded letter that his old teacher wrote his mother that day. He opened it …The message written on the letter was “Your son is mentally deficient. We cannot let him attend our school anymore. He is expelled.”

Wow, what if his mother would have read what the teacher wrote? What if she would have believed it and treated her son from the standpoint of the teacher.

Choose to build others up, choose to see the Gold, Choose to take time to get to know someone, understand them, don't treat someone as "you're just a" If they have messed up don't put grave-clothes on them, help take them off and find their purpose and overcome their limiting beliefs.
