Don't let the fast pace of AI change make you feel stupid

Don't let the fast pace of AI change make you feel stupid.... use "the robots" or your "co-intelligence" (i.e. ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, etc.) to be per personal, patient tutor.

How do you keep current with the fast pace of AI change?

I do several things

  • Participate in or listen to the "GAI Insights Daily AI news rating and discussions " at 7:30a ET (live or replays on Youtube)
  • Skim 10-15 AI news letters with product announcement summaries
  • Ask OpenAI (often using advance voice as I am driving) a question about a concept or ask it to give
  • In my physical notebook that I have with me all the times for making notes and to do's, I note key terms that I need to ensure that I understand and I to back and reviews this periodically. In the last few months, terms that I have noted have included "model merge" (more details on specifically how this works as continue to hear more about it" and others

How do you stay current?

I recommend using AI often. I use the foundational models every day. It’s amazing how much they change with updates every few weeks. The capabilities increase so rapidly that things that could not be done a month ago can be automated now.

Attend the GenAI group as much as possible on Monday. Watch Matt Wolfe on YouTube to stay on top of tools I'm interested in such as Midjourney and video creation platforms. Read, read, read. Work with the tools as much as possible to learn what they can do.
