Don’t let AI overshadow your personal brand voice...

Two weeks ago, I had the chance to connect with a fantastic group of women entrepreneurs at a networking event and the topic of discussion was “How Not to Lose Your Brand Voice When Writing With AI.” I knew right away it was something worth sharing with you.

If you’re relying on Artificial Intelligence (AI) for your work - whether it’s for research, outlining frameworks, or even writing long-form content - then this is right up your alley. With AI tools becoming more common, many of us wonder: How do we make sure our brand’s unique voice isn’t lost in the process?


These are some key takeaways from the presentation:

1. Building Trust in the AI Era – With AI-generated content flooding the internet, people are becoming more skeptical and discerning. How do we maintain that trust in our audience? Because as you and I know, trust, once lost, is so hard to regain.

2. Fact-Checking Matters – AI can be a great tool, but it doesn’t always get everything right. So you MUST make time to fact-check especially if you want to keep your credibility intact.

3. Content Verification Tools – There are a number of tools out there to help you verify the accuracy of AI-generated content. Knowing which ones to use can be a game-changer.

4. Training AI to Reflect Your Brand – One of the most powerful takeaways was the ability to train AI to adapt to your voice. With a little tweaking, you can make sure the content sounds uniquely you.

So I’m going to be absolutely honest here. ChatGPT helped me to write this newsletter. I started writing it and had an outline of the points I wanted to include. AI wrote the rest of it but I still had to review it to fact check and to refine it to suit my voice.

And sometimes, I write the whole newsletter and get AI to help me refine it for easier reading. It all depends on the situation. ??
