Don’t kill yourself to be someone you are not believe me it’s not worth it!
Just hold your ground and be yourself. You are good the way you are with all your rough edges, faults, downsides and all that you know & don’t know about yourself. Don’t be influenced from all the “feedback” coming your way. Free yourself from all the self-doubt!
PROBLEM:
Winning too much is the #1 challenge for many of us, because it underlies nearly every other behavioral problem in our so called corporate culture. In this race of winning we desperately push our colleagues, coworkers, direct reports in different boxes and tag them like under performer, not ok, emotional, aggressive, not easy to get along etc., which builds a wrong perception of them. That’s not it the bigger damage comes when leaders without doing a reality check believe this and starts evaluating individuals based on these perceptions as a result a lot of unsolicited feedback starts coming your way. That’s where you start doubting your abilities, your vision about yourself gets blurred and out of this consistent pressure it becomes compelling for you to start acting like someone you are not. This is criminal and a silent killer in our corporate culture.
SOLUTION:
If you are going through such situation of self-doubt the solution I can offer you is to de clutter your mind first and then build your focus on important priorities/ people in your life, recognize them and shift the focus towards making positive difference not to prove how right we are or how incredible we are or how smart we are but how good a human being we are. Develop the ability to make positive difference in other people lives, help them elevate! That’s about it life is larger than any other event and has much more to offer so keep your focus ahead of you put all this behind you and move on!
ADVICE TO CORPORATE LEADERS
Be nice, generous and kind with one another that’s what we are supposed to do as human! Leadership is all about making positive influence in people lives around us, helping them elevate not replicate us. Please understand that everyone is different and has unique offerings it all depends on you as leaders how to capitalize on it. Be human and help them Cross the Line!
