Don't Kill the Deal
When buying a house you want things to be perfect, especially if its the first time. That's understandable, the purchase of your home is probably one of the most significant financial commitments you will make. You certainly don't want to rush into it, but you will want to approach it with a realistic mindset. The fact is that no deal is going to be perfect and if you understand this going in the process will be less stressful.
With any house, there are going to be defects and blemishes. Don't exaggerate small imperfections. You may find it helpful to have an amount in mind that you are willing to spend on repairs and upgrades. If problems exceed that amount then, you may reconsider the purchase. If they're not going to put an unreasonable amount of pressure on you, don't let them be the death of the deal.
