Don't just like and share...make that introduction! The power of a referral.

Do people truly grasp the value of a referral and/or introduction? ?? Just because a staffing firm charges a fee for services, this shouldn't deter you from recommending a staffing partner or agency recruiter to a potential client. Staffing and overall staff augmentation are big business, generating billions of dollars in revenue annually. This industry brings significant value to the market. ??
Agencies often transform the vast pool of candidates in the job market and available positions from a chaotic club scene in Las Vegas to an exclusive dinner party with a select group of friends and acquaintances. These settings provide an opportunity for meaningful relationships to develop due to the comfort and level of trust among the guests. ??

One common complaint from job seekers on the internet revolves around the overall cold communication that takes place—lack of response, poor candidate experience, transparency issues, and the overwhelming volume of unnoticed applications. A skilled recruiter can navigate through much of this and facilitate a positive interaction between the client and candidate, optimizing everyone's time. ??
I often see people willing to help others by liking their posts or "sharing for outreach." While it's a nice gesture, it doesn't necessarily move the needle. If your main objective is to help, consider making a real introduction. After all, we're all businesspeople! I'm not asking anyone to sell my services; I'm asking for help in opening the conversation. A recommendation or introduction is powerful. At the very least, it elicits a response. And even if that response is, "nice to meet you, we can't use your services at this time," it's still valuable. It stands out from the often cold-as-ice solicitations. ??
I bring up this point because I'm not shy about asking for introductions or referrals. However, I must admit that, more often than not, my request is ignored—even by those who had a great experience or know and trust me. If your contact is upset that you made an intro, at least you know where you stand with that person. ??♂?
