As the saying goes do your bit and forget about it, until good come back to you.

It was around 9 PM, we have just finished dinner and were settling down for the day as the doorbell rang.?To my surprise the neighboring lady was standing at the door with box and asking for wifey.?I called to her and left, only to have wifey walk back in with box filled with spongy almond cake.

I did not understand and asked her if she had order cakes again??No she said, biting in the big slice of the cake.?Well, she had come over to say thank you to me ( Tarun Bhaiya as I am know in my neighbor hood) for helping her build on her baking business.???

She mentioned that we Pramanick's were among the first people to order from her home bakery and have regularly order cakes, muffins, cupcakes over the last year.?She mentioned that although she has been trying to reach out to people, we were the first in the neighborhood & now thanks to us most household in our vicinity have ordered cakes and munchies from her.?Also that our referrals have also placed repeat order with her help her reach neighboring locations around West Delhi.

I was beaming with feel good smile that I was able to uplift some during such torrid time.??All it took was to take the initiative and try something new and order from this small home enterprise and not the big cake shop in Rajouri.?I was happy for her and thankful for her reciprocal gesture. Told wifey, to give her a message from me that I wish her best for her growing business and this year’s birthday cake I want her to make a Cheese Cake.

Come of think of it reminds of the local bakery near my locality in Mumbai. I vividly remember that every time I walked past, the aroma of fresh baked savories and sweet-something would draw me in.
