Don't just be an amateur swimmer

Don't just be an amateur swimmer

???????????????? Getting?certified?is?like gaining?experiences?at?your?school/college. We?believe?that?we?learned?a?lot?during?that?time?and?eventually?passed?exams?? to?get?qualifications. We may gain some learning at that point of time, I will not deny that, but it will not be sufficient for getting quantum experience in life. However, the actual learning and life adventure begins after you graduate from college and begin the arduous task of working in an office or beginning your own business, at which point you begin to learn about the actual?reality.

??? ???Similarly, your real Agile journey begins after certification. Getting licensed and then doing nothing further is like being on your mark as a child,?waiting for a wave in a beach, and expecting us to teach swimming.

Remember your swimming techniques as a kid ??

It only pushed us to a certain distance away, and we felt we had learned the art of swimming, but it is neither practical nor professional. Likewise, we cannot learn how to swim or how deep the water is by simply wearing a swimsuit and standing in front of it.

Touch it to see the temperature, feel it to understand the dynamics, grasp the pool area through predictability, and finally embrace it by learning various swimming techniques/methods.

What would you do if this has to happen ?

Join a swimming course and get an effective instructor. One should also be very determined to learn. In your Agile journey too, you should have a coach or coaches to help you navigate through. Of course, these coaches will only push you to a certain point; you must play the ultimate game.

On this road, one may initially fail, be dissatisfied, or unhappy, but never give up. Choose your goals and work hard to achieve them.

Read books and articles, meet, and talk to other Scrum Masters, help those in your circle to the best of your ability, and master one agile technique at a time, but don't limit yourself to just one.

All this preaching and discoursing is not because I’m perfect; in fact, no one is perfect; but if someone starts now, I’m confident they can gradually achieve with the help of empiricism. I’m doing my best to acquire all the traits and characteristics required for this role, and I encourage all my fellow Agilists to instill deeply and acquire the confidence to move forward successfully. Examine your options beyond projects, tools, processes, and documents.

Doing a set of actions daily in a flow or following a pattern leads to predictability and yield expected outcomes, yet changing your path slightly to reach predictability leads to new learnings.

Set up a specific approach and time for studying. Spend a significant amount of time thinking beyond Scrum or Kanban, understanding Devops, Lean, practical Scrum use cases, writing your own experiences through blogs, articles?and implementing Agile outside of software development.

Let us not be a one of these Scrum Masters :

Let us all try to be Scrum Master’s or Future leaders...like...

We must get our hands dirty to plough the soil

All the best.?
