It's another big Friday for a Delta session with staff and to finish the week strong.
The only problem was Cox Communications was having an Internet outage in several zip codes including ours.
We walked through the 2-minute drill of visual equipment checks and software tests to verify the problem wasn't the local network and ended with calling the Internet Service Provider.
From our smartphones we could verify through various cloud systems if any clients were down and have phone numbers to contact any that were down.
The team uploaded a quick Incident Response for the public and called to coordinate emergency procedures for any clients down.
Our staff then went to work from home since all of our cloud systems aren't dependent on the offices.
No one panicked or was scared or even surprised. We simply did what others couldn't or wouldn't do.
