Don't hide behind policy, even if you write the policy!

Yes, you are probably protected, but are you helping those that enforce it to do their job? Maybe not. Most of the CSO/CISO/IO people that I talk to want more visibility.

If you don't really care what users take or what they download, copy etc, then switch off now. If on the other hand, #Ransomware, #Malware, #Recovery and basically getting back up and running are your thing, then this is for you.

I have presented at many events. I have told people technically what we do, to give them 100% protection from malware/ransomware, BUT believe it or not they still ignore me. :( Sometimes it is because the data on endpoints is not important and that is OK. Sometimes it is because they are hiding behind policy and that means they are doing a disservice to their users and their business.

OK, let's put some of that down to my delivery but really, the message prevails. Sometimes people need to experience the pain before they learn. I prefer to learn from other peoples experiences where possible rather than repeat them myself. If you have visibility of what leaves the environment, or if you have visibility of what was on a lost/damaged/infected laptop, that is always good!

My question... do YOU have this today?
