If you're planning on taking the Christmas holiday shutdown, then there is approximately 5 weeks left this year... Is it time to take the foot off the accelerator? Let your hair down? Start having more lunches? Letting the marketing and sales conversations slip?
OR maybe it's time to say you're just planning 2025, start pushing everything out to January because you don't want to make any plans this close to Christmas.
I've never understood this mentality.
I don't know how to say this, but nothing actually changes over Christmas, and if you take the foot off now... it really only affects your pipeline.
I've locked in strategies in both mid-December AND January already.
The mindset that things "stop" is just that, a mindset, you're telling me that from 2.5 Million Small Businesses in Australia, everyone just stops and not a dollar is spent?
Retail sure doesn't stop, and "essential" services certainly don't stop.
Ok you might want to take a break, and I am not saying not to (I will be!) But don't use Christmas as an excuse for why your pipeline slows down... You might find it's because YOU slowed down... (Which is also fine if you need to.)
Things still happen right up until the day you say "I'm done with 2024!"
Really my point of today's email was to remind you that marketing still matters all year round, you might not be in a campaign period right now, but you're always on messaging can be working in other ways for you...
