Don't glorify Suicides. Help overcome it !!!
Sad to know about Sushant Singh Rajput committing suicide. Though his journey of life from an ordinary boy to a well known actor looks successful to millions like us, unfortunately he failed to think so.
I am also seeing various messages on Social media about how Bollywood Directors and Film industry on the whole treated him very bad, unfair, humiliated, etc., portraying the actor as an innocent victim of all these.
If this is true, then millions of wannabe actors, small time actors, who fought with their families, left homes to pursue passion, doing small roles, struggling financially, but still keeping hopes, should have given up and committed suicides long ago.
Last year when well known Entrepreneur, VG Siddhartha of Cafe Coffee Day committed suicide, several people blamed Income Tax Authorities and Banks for his action.
Truth is, nothing in this world can ever justify a person taking his or her own life. Depression and Suicidal tendencies are mental health issues. Our body is prone to physical illnesses that can be diagnosed easily. Sadly our Mind is complex, prone to mental illnesses that cannot be diagnosed easily.
Its early signs like change in a person's behaviour can be identified by family and friends. Talking to them, listening and counselling with patience is needed. Consulting Mental Health Professionals is extremely useful which could not only save their lives, but make them lead better lives.
As a society, we should stop glorifying people committing suicide as victims of social evils. Not portray them as Martyrs sacrificing lives in their fight against injustice. It will send out wrong message to others and become an attempt to justify the act of suicide. Rather, understand and help the ones suffering to overcome it with love and compassion. Provide them with utmost attention and appropriate care at crucial times of theirs.
Agreed Vinayak. It important to teach ourselves, families and friends that we should learn and practice to let go things. Nothing is permanent and everything will pass. Somehow we miss to understand that life is very important and we should everything, good or bad.

4 年Vinayak, Right thoughts, many of us don't know what going on in ones life ,however looks quite successful from outside, he might have undergone tremendous depression, Once mind is going through illness, that wont realize good things of this world ! I would say for any problem we face, calm down , time will heal the problem!
