Don't Get In That Position
When I was training jiujitsu?I used to find myself getting in the same bad position. And every time I got in that position?I would get tapped out.
So I asked my instructor how to get out of this position. And I will never forget his wise words.
"Stop getting in that position."
Roger that! Thank?you for that sage advice.
At first, I was thinking, "Well thanks for nothing on that one."?But it really?did make sense and it really did help.?
I knew it was all over if I got into a bad spot, so I would fight like crazy and do whatever I had to do to avoid it.?
Think about your life and how you can apply this. Are there situations or instances you find yourself in that tend to trip you up?
Here are a few examples I see:
-buying some foods "for the kids" but you find yourself eating those foods too
-the glass of wine that turns into most of the bottle and then you don't feel like being healthy?the next day
-going to the grocery store hungry
-having a really busy week and finding yourself in the drive-thru or ordering out every night
There are tons of situations that can be a detriment to your health and fitness goals. If they keep happening again and again you?have?to change something.
Willpower does not work.
Having a system for the things you want will.
-If you do have to buy food for the kids that you are trying to avoid, keep them in the pantry or somewhere where they aren't in plain sight
-Don't keep wine in the house. Easiest solution. If you do keep wine in the house, same deal as the kid's snacks. Keep it hidden so you aren't seeing it and triggering cravings all the time.

-Never shop hungry! Make a list and do your grocery shopping online. Best way to avoid impulse food buys.
-Use the weekends for meal prep so when the craziness of the week hits you have some easy, go-to options.
Those are just some suggestions, you need to find what works for?you. So start by figuring out what your triggers/problem situations are then you can start planning around them.
It's not easy but it makes things so much better when you don't have to rely on willpower.
I also try to stay out of the sun #ginger,
