Don't feel like working today- what to do??

Don't feel like working today- what to do??

It happens.... right??? the reasons can be many - too tired, bad mood, gloomy weather, too much excitement, or first snow of the season... which is happening at my place just now!! Even if I want to be totally productive, my eyes are going to the window every now and then... not my fault, and neither is it a distraction actually, but probably I need to do a little more to make my day more useful.... and the following come to my mind:

Change the order in To-Do list - Simplifying and having things which don't need so much concentration might be good to do start with :-)

Work on things which have been pending for a little while now, for which we couldn't take time out owing to being busy with other more important and urgent things, and that's something I am doing just now... !!

Make the desk clutter free and look beautiful - Its always a turn on, at least for me :-)

If nothing works, probably taking a small break, coffee with a colleague can work wonders. Especially if the person is not from our team, may be someone who we haven't been able to talk to recently. It's a mood booster.

I feel, we should try working on something new and exciting, which would make our brain work, which needs us to think, BUT in case even after 10 mins we feel its not working and the ideas are not coming, its best to switch to work which is more regular. It would help us clear our back log and also make the work more easy and productive tomorrow. In any case, the time should not be wasted as Time is Money, rather Time is more important than money, as money can be lost and earned back, but Time cannot be!

I already feel like getting back to work after writing, So let me try to figure out what order of my To-do list works the best for me, and in the meantime, if you read this article, and have some ideas, do share!! Looking forward to your tricks that work wonders at such times :-)

Hello Sunita, that remind me what I've done yesterday. Wanted to take a break from very concentrating tasks, so I just went to the kitchen space and fold cardboard boxes for one of our social device. After 5 minutes, my mind was freed :).
