Don't Be Evil, Google

I asked people If there were a digital war between Facebook and Google? and your country has to choose one side, which side would you prefer?, and Why?

I discovered that people are not aware of what Google is capable of, they think only Facebook has their data, well to sum it up for you Google has approximately more data than Facebook. Google and Facebook are both surveillance platforms, to these platforms we are the products, let me tell you more about Google’s history, Google started as a search engine which is basically an index of information. When Facebook was launched Google started thinking about how they will develop their search engine from an index to something better that’s when they started getting information about you and what you search for and this is when targeted ads started but they had a small problem, it’s when you go directly to a website Google doesn’t know, so they made chrome in which they would have the history on every website you go, then they thought that most people nowadays use their smartphones and when they use their smartphones Google doesn’t know what you do on your smartphone or what you surf through the internet, that’s when they launched Android, even if you’re offline android records literally everything on your phone to Google’s Servers, Google launches more and more products so that they control you more not because they want to make your life easier. What actually Google and Facebook do is that they ethically steer people through a bunch of algorithms. Google algorithms in its search engine are managed by first selection and second by ordering, so from billions of data it’s going to select some of it and order it, it will always be comparative, it will always be one over another because it’s biased, this affects important things like elections. It selects what links we see first and this would influence our mentality or even our choices in life, we should also mention that Facebook is the news platform everyone uses, around 2 trillion posts are posted on Facebook every day what if these posts were biased? Do you know that Google knows things about you that you won’t share with anyone? You tell Google so much because you’re searching for most private stuff on Google. 

Google tries to impact people by this phenomena “SEME” Search Engine Manipulation Effect which is a list effect but with a difference, because Google is telling us what should be at the top and what’s lower, less than 5% only go to page 2 and this has a dramatic effect on people’s opinions, decisions or beliefs. Google also has the autofill were it gives you a suggestion of what you might be looking for and again this is SEME because these will most probably be biased and one negative biased opinion can be 10 times more likely to be clicked. But if they want you to be shifted into one candidate, for example, they would give you positive auto-fills and now your opinion is already shifted. Google has become the internet’s censor and master manipulator, blocking access to millions of websites. Google has millions of blocked websites for no reason. Lastly, Google wants you to have privacy but not from them. In case you don’t know Google’s slogan when they were first launched is “Don’t Be Evil”, Google never really explained what do they mean with evil and to what extinct. In my opinion, I’m a big fan of Google and its products, I actually prefer their products over others. In case you are not aware big countries actually use Google’s products and yes google doesn’t only know things about private people but countries, governorates and more, all you need to do is fasten your seat belt because in the near future we will be headed to world war III - Digital war era -.
