Don't ever change if you dare to be different

In order to do something different then the status quo one needs to be away from the pressure of proving it to someone other than Self. You need to be passionate about what you want to do, it should be your calling. You may have ideological differences with people but that should not make you disrespect them. Have the right expectations out of self and agree that you will low acceptances from others. If you can continue with the journey with all these hurdles and still smile, you can achieve the break through.

How to do different things? - Please don't do anything just because it is supposed to be done that way. e.g. choosing science, choosing medical/engineering, choosing job, buying home, getting married etc etc. I am not saying don't do these things. I am not saying don't buy home and get married. I am saying don't do it just because you are supposed to. Once you avoid what is supposed to, you will realize what you really want, what you need, what you feel happy doing. When you find it, keep doing it. Give it your utmost sincerity, hard work. And you will realize you are different from the society.

A person who wants to do something just to be famous or recognised by the society will never ever be successful in his intentions even though he May taste some success but that's not going to last long. People who make a difference are people who stick to their moral values and keep on doing the things they feel are right no matter what the people around them say. In their deeds you'll see sincerity and perseverance. They have a vision in their mind and for it they will sacrifice everything if they have to.

Therefore, people who dare to make a difference don't necessarily have an intention to do so but they simply stick to their ideals and keep on doing what they deem is right irrespective of the resistance. If you really look out here are so many doors open for a difference. You can develop a special talent in sports, can create some unique projects, write journals, visit new places, present papers, start a business and so many of your choice.

You will to do something different already has achieved half of your goal and we all are alike in-spite of being different and each of us are unique in spite of the being alike and so it may sound contradictory, but its true, therefore stop comparing yourself to the crowd and stop following others so that you can walk on your own path at peace, finally be wise, and find a truthful way which is for the benefit of others.

What I think the best way to be different is to be different on the inside and not worry about being different in appearance. Be different where it matters, in your morals in your behavior. As the great philosopher Seneca was writing to a young friend of his advising him as he started on his own quest of the stoic life, to be outwardly totally conventional. He asks him why would you want to offend someone needlessly only to have that person turn away from the stoic life because of something as silly as the clothes you are wearing. These externals are not you, what matters is what you are in your behavior and your attitudes.

There is no inherent virtue in being edgy , and there is no virtue and deliberately offending someone's sensibilities. There is no vice in appearing conventional. Let your difference be in your moral behavior not in something as silly as your hairstyle or the clothes you wear or whatever. In other words, it means to live your life without changing your behavior because of social pressures.

You’re daring to be different because it is a difficult thing to break past social pressures in all areas of your life that force you to become a certain type of person that you don’t necessarily want to become. Dare to be different actually means dare to be yourself. Social conditioning makes everyone the same, so by being yourself you are being different than everyone else.
