Don’t dig up the seed while it’s growing to see if the roots are forming
have patience for the process
Good Day Stellar Human,
For this entry on to the weekly journal of Budget Your Energy I will keep the theme of a recent post which applies the concept of playing Padel or Tennis to your life and energy spent and how you should direct your energy towards your racket, the ball and the shot played. After that it is out of your control. Read it here.
This concept is a big part of my present mindset and journey, and I was listening to the Resilient Mind podcast on the way down to the south of the island when the speaker mentioned that when you plant a seed in the earth, you do not dig it up every day and check if the roots are growing and if nature is doing its job.
This took my thought process over to B.Y.E. and put on the cap. To me this line was exactly how I enjoy simple truths. Something that seems so ridiculous and simple and then you apply the same logic to an aspect of your life and find the ‘on’ switch for light bulb.
It is again talking about directing your energy in the wrong direction, or using energy on something that is not only inefficient but also creates a result opposite from what you desire or intend. Taking that thought one step further, you are in the way of your own progress and success.
I do not believe it is any of our intentions to get in our own way, however it is something we should be aware of and make an effort to reduce and hopefully eliminate. I heard Robert Downy Jr speak to Joe Rogan on a podcast after retiring the Iron Man series, when he was probably at his best self and being of his life and he said that he only started making proper progress when he got out of his own way and realised he was not as important as he thought he was in the greater scheme of things and he managed to let go and focus on being the best version of himself and let the universe see that and respond accordingly. Please note that is not a quote so feel free to find the segment and comment down below if I missed something, however it is what I took from the conversation.

Tying this into our Thursday Thought, I believe we all have heard the saying, You reap what you sow, there are only 2 stages in that well known saying, reap and sow. There is a trust in the energies at power that the process is not in our control. We will consider one more step that is an important use of energy in this case and that is taking care of the environment in which you plant your seeds.
Your energy is much more effective when it is used to choose fertile soil in which to plant, ensuring that the seed is planted in an area that gets enough sunlight and rain, and if there is a lack of rain, then you should indeed step in and water this seed. From there you need to allow the process that you cannot control too bring that seed to earth into a plant and tree that bares the intention that you planted. Use all of your available energy to nurture these planting environments and waste none on the things you cannot control and you shall receive Compound interests on intentionally invested energy in abundance. Have patience with the process and watch the 8th wonder of the world take your life to the next level.
The planting environment represents your mind, soul and body. ensure that your ‘soil’ receives enough energy, like the plants water and sunshine, form different sources such as sustenance, exercise, mindful practices and direction so that it can be an environment that provides abundance. Do not put a limit on what you believe you can achieve, just ensure that the choices and decisions that you make are aligned with your intentions and the things that you want to achieve, and enjoy the process and challenges that come along that journey. Protect your soil against the wildfires and trespassers of life and watch as it returns that effort and energy to you in abundance.
Happy farming and B.Y.E. for now
