Hello!??
Think you’re tired of talking about return-to-office?? We’re betting these CEOs wish we’d talk about almost anything else.
Here’s what we’ve got this month:
We'll wrap it up with some of the team’s “must reads” and what stuck with me from this month’s SIOP / Boston People Analytics meet-up.

RETURN-TO-OFFICE
The Biggest Predictor of RTO Resistance & What You Can Do About It
When we look at the data, one of the biggest predictors of “RTO resistance” is Onsite Density.? Onsite Density is the number of people that you work with closely who are in the office when you are.? The higher your Onsite Density, the higher your perception that time spent in the office is valuable.
Who has low Onsite Density?? Anyone working on a Distributed Team – and that’s a lot of us right now.??
Here’s how to predict which teams will be the most reluctant to return to office and 5 actions you can take to help employees feel their time in the office is valuable.?
Who has low Onsite Density?? Anyone working on a Distributed Team – and that’s a lot of us right now.??

Here’s what the Worklytics team is talking about right now.? What are you reading??
SERIOUS STUFF
JUST FOR FUN
I’ve recently been on a short-story kick and wanted to recommend the collected works of Jorge Luis Borges.? His stories are delightfully weird and inventive – not to mention quick enough to tackle on your lunch break.? If you’ve never read him before, start with “The South” or “The Library of Babel” and work your way up to “The Aleph.”
We went to Motown in this month's playlist. Just as Motown united people of different races and backgrounds through its catchy melodies and soulful lyrics, people analytics unite teams and departments by providing a common language and shared understanding of workforce data (thank you ChatGPT ??).
HIGHLIGHTS FROM BOSTON
Great to see some of you in Boston last week!
We partnered with Hallie Bregman, PhD (The Bregman Group) and Richard Rosenow ( One Model ) to bring together ~90 People Analytics leaders for a pre- Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP) happy hour.?
Some things that stuck with me from those conversations:
1/ There was palpable excitement in the room around bringing more applied psychology to bear on people analytics practices. Taking an I/O lens to measuring teamwork, safety, and mentorship left me feeling energized.
2/ Reducing friction in the return to office process continues to be top of mind for HR leaders. Many quiet skeptics in the room felt RTO mandates were driven by executive egos more than productivity outcomes.
3/ Jury’s still out on how AI will change the conversation in our space. One SIOP attendee?captured the sentiment: “Treat AI like you’d treat an intern: super smart, super great research skills, but not a lot of wisdom.”
