Don't Confuse Motion with Progress
Big shout out to all my hustlers! Bigger shout out to all my hustlers who know where they are going!!!
As an entrepreneur I will be the first to tell you that I've worked 12+ hours in a day and had no clue what I was doing/why I was doing it. I feel sometimes that it just comes with the territory as an entrepreneur but I always go back to my WHY goals.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Take an hour of quiet time to really think through how you look, where you live, what is your belief system, etc... Try to get as detailed a picture of what that looks like/how that feels. Now, come back to present day. Are you on the path to getting their?
70% of you will NOT be on the path of your ideal self (per a Forbes study stating 70% of the US employee market-hate their jobs).
Why is that?
There are two things I hypothesize that cause our derailing of an ideal life.
- Fear
- Believing you don't have a choice
The result of these two things push us to believe that our "busyness" will get us to our ideal life regardless of the path we are on. That is so false!
Unless you get razor sharp focus on what it is you are put on this earth to do you will never make progress to your goals/dreams. Let's continue to build together!

7 年The conclusion is spot on. But, I believe, most of the times our alignment with the purpose of our lives is more of a 'subconscious journey' than something we consciously arrive at! I'd like to add a third option to the list of things that derail us from our ideal self: The system we are part of! ...Marriage, Family, Organization, Society...you could even scale it to 'The Planet'. When the system we are part of, is in motion, but NOT in progress, it becomes difficult to make progress ourselves, at a personal level. It's even tougher when we are not even aware whether the system is in motion or in progress. And it might not always be easy to get out of that system!
