They Don't Come Any Better Than You, Babe

In 2011, author Mel Robbins gave a Ted Talk in which she suggested that the probability of your being born is about 1 in 400 trillion.

May I ask you an intimate question?

Do you know who you are?

The real you?

I am talking about the you that you were before the situations which led to your insecurities, before what happened to you; before you let people and circumstances get into your head, and before you got into your own head.

There will never be another you.

They can try to be like you, and why wouldn't they?

You are an original, a masterpiece.

You are in a league all your own.

There will never be anyone who thinks the way you do, moves the way you do, talks the way you do, has your mind, your soul, your fingerprint.

This isn't flattery, this is factual

You have struggles and you have deficiencies but rest assured:

No one is your kind of crazy, or your kind of rational.

No one reasons the way that you reason.

The things that make you laugh.

The things that cause you to choke back tears or laugh out-of-turn

The things that are hidden or exposed

The facets of your character which you choose to portray and those which you choose to conceal...

No one has your acumen, endurance, determination, or zeal.

No one wears excitement or handles crisis, quite the way that you do.

No one has experienced what you have experienced and felt what you have felt.

The things that anger you and the things the shame you.

You have lost loved ones, I am sure of it, and you will agree that there are no words to describe the loss that you still feel; it won't ever go away.

There is not one thing that wasn't influenced by their presence.

Why?

There will never be another quite like them, ever.

I adjure you to ponder the degree of your significance because everything that you lay hands to is engrained with your touch.

When it comes to you, there is no competition.

They just don't come any better than you, babe!

12Even the darkness is not dark to You, And the night is as bright as the day. Darkness and light are alike to You. 13For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother's womb. 14I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well.… Psalm 139:12-14
