Don't buy from Himalayan Automobiles Srinagar

I recently purchased Tata Punch from Himalayan Automobiles Tengpora Srinagar for a close friend of mine on 31st December 2022. It was a good experience and their salespeople did a good job. But then something happened, the time came when the car was brought in the showroom for me to check it before delivery and everything went sideways. Here are few points that I did not like and made this as my worst experience while purchasing a car and I regretted buying car from them:

Strike 1. When I was checking the car for any flaws, inside of the driver door where there is lock, it had a dent and a paint was scrapped there because of this dent. Since the dent was not that big, and they convinced me that they will get it fixed I pretended it is okay but the thought of this dent while the car is still inside showroom was somehow bothering me in the back of my mind, but I went with it.

Strike 2. When their PDI manager was giving me the demo of the car, I noticed something strange. The lid of the fuse box, under the hood, won't open easily. Then I checked another Tata Punch there, and it was like both the cars were made different. The car that I bought had very little space between the fuse box and the ECM module, giving it no space to open the lid, while the other cars had more than an Inch of space and the lid opened with ease. Then they brought the mechanic in and started taking the car apart IN THE SHOWROOM and that too when it was NOT EVEN DELIVERED to me yet in front of me. They could not fix it. They still managed to convenience me to ignore it. They kind of blackmailed me emotionally and it was foolish of me to fell prey to their tactics. They told me that it is this person's first car since he joined the dealership in five months and that his job was in danger if he did not make the purchase as it was last day of year and month. I kinda felt that on my conscience.

Strike 3. When I left the showroom at around 5:30 PM after giving them tips which I was kind of forced to, I realized that they did not give me a copy of my insurance and was also relieved that I was not caught by police on the way as it would have been an inconvenience and an embarrassment. Up to this point I was not going to write a bad review for them but then there was 4th strike.

Strike 4. When they installed fastag on the car they said that it is not active as they were facing some technical issue and it will get activated by tomorrow. When I was about to reach the toll plaza the next evening at around 5:00 PM I thought to recharge it as I had completely forgotten to recharge it. But then it would throw errors and at the point I contacted the salesman and told him about that and he convinced me to check it at toll plaza and told me that sometimes even his phone would throw errors while recharging his fastag. I listened to him and reached toll plaza and they said that it not working. I told them to check it with their hand held machine as it I had it installed yesterday from a trusted source. When they brought the machine it won't still work and that time there was a big line of cars behind me honking like they had to reach somewhere to put out fires but then it was around 05:00 PM and people were desperate to reach their warm homes in this cold winter evening. Coming back to the point, hand held machine was no help as well as I was destined for another embarrassment because I purchased my car from wrong dealership.

Final verdict: Himalayan Automobiles is new and they still have a lot to learn. They are making sales because they are selling products of Tata Motors and that brand needs no introduction. Otherwise, they are pathetic in their jobs.

Tata Motors should never give their brand names to such pathetic and unprofessional people.

Suggestions for you: Do not buy from Himalayan Automobiles Try Fairdeal Motors as they are experienced and are trustworthy.

Tata Motors Please look into this as they are putting a bad impression on your name.

FYI! In this process my friend was not with me as he had to leave early at around 2:00 PM and had high hopes in my decision making and trusted me to get home a perfect car for him to drive.
