Don't break the chain of hustle
Think about it.
If it wasn't for our great grand parents, grand parents and our parents who constantly striving for better future, we wouldn't reach this far. My great grand-parents moved to Malaysia to escape poverty in their home country. To have a better life, they came here to work on plantation, building railroads and other odd jobs. And then my grand parents had moved to rubber estate to help with the new booming industry of Malaysia, managing the rubber planting, which produce the latex that will be used for various reasons.
Moving into rubber estate had helped my parents to enrolls in schools that were built by Christian missionaries. The best my grand parents were able to was ensuring my parents to finish secondary school (high school) and secured local jobs, beside rubber tapping. But it wasn't that easy, there were so many good souls that helped along the way (Welfare society, Christian missionaries, teachers and neighbors who look out for each other)
My dad was a land surveyor and used to do part time jobs, mum was a factory worker in Singapore that used to wake up at 3am for her 7am shift (to avoid the jam in the border). They did their level best to push their offspring to tertiary education. Why ? So that we can keep going forward to the next level and never break this chain of hustle. We can't even compare our struggles with what they went through.
So remember, the next time you are going through hard times and wanted to give up, remember the struggles of your great grand parents, grand parents and parents. I seen so many of my friends and relatives struggling during Covid period and it strikes me, how would my ancestor would have overcome this obstacles.
This is the chain of hustle. Let's motivate each other and never ever break the chain. All is Well
