From the heading of the article, it seems like today we will be discussing about astrology or palmistry but its not what we will be discussing here in this article. This article is more about avoiding being a fortune teller in professional world or at your workplace.
We can find foolish and ignorant people in our lives and they are there in all sphere of life even in professional arena too, further there is no way that you can avoid the special breed but through this article I will share a story which will help you in not becoming part of the league.
The story:
“There was a man who was cutting a branch of a tree on which he was sitting and a stranger was passing by the road. On seeing that foolish person he tried to stop him and yelled “you must not cut the branch like this as if you continue to do this you will fall with the branch”
The man was too stupid to listen to him. He totally ignored the man’s advice and continued with his work. After a few minutes the branch fell and the man also fell with it.
He was astonished to see it and said to himself, “Oh! That man is fortune teller! He correctly foretold that what would happen”.
Now, we can correlate to the above story in our professional lives also and its totally in our control/hands that either we become the so called Fortune teller and let such people become our followers who will keep praising us for all the wrong reasons or we should become wise enough and ignore such praises and rather have team members who challenge us. I know its difficult as everyone like to be appreciated and praised so better work on the power of ignorance as it’s the best tool and one should master in it.
