Don't ask: "What's your budget?"?

Don't ask: "What's your budget?"

Here's what you can do instead:

  1. Ask what they're trying to achieve
  2. Suggest a budget range
  3. Ask what success looks like
  4. Identify the expensive business problem they're trying to solve
  5. Set a minimum: "Have you budgeted at least $X,000 for this?"
  6. Suggest a plan, describe the result and state the benefit
  7. Give a case study of a similar client's results

Want to dive a little deeper into how to do this?
