Don't ask: "What's your budget?"
Here's what you can do instead:
- Ask what they're trying to achieve
- Suggest a budget range
- Ask what success looks like
- Identify the expensive business problem they're trying to solve
- Set a minimum: "Have you budgeted at least $X,000 for this?"
- Suggest a plan, describe the result and state the benefit
- Give a case study of a similar client's results
