WEEKLY FUNDRAISING ACTIVITY

Last week we saw 13 FinTech deals in Europe for a total of €42.7m raised with four deals in the UK????, three in Germany????, one in Sweden????, Austria ????and the Netherlands????

Raisin raised €60 million in a series E funding round, from existing and new investors.

The global savings and investment specialist recently exceeded 1 million customers, for which a total of €850 million in interest has been generated since founding the company in 2012.

FairMoney acquired PayForce as the digital lender looks to broaden its financial services proposition to merchants.

MangoPay acquired Dublin-based payments technology company WhenThen.

Mastercard acquired Swedish cybersecurity firm Baffin Bay as part of plans to build a multi-layered protective shield for customers across the world.

PSG Equity announced expanding its position in Spain by acquiring fintech Unnax for close to EUR 40 million.

?? NOTABLE FUNDING ROUNDS

?? eToro has secured $250 million in funding at a $3.5 billion valuation, the fund is not a typical equity round, it comes by way of an Advanced Investment Agreement.

?? Monite raised another $5 million, doubling its seed funding round to $10 million, Third Prime led the latest seed.

?? FinGoal announced the closing of an investment round led by Naples Technology Ventures.

?? Kredivo raised $270 million in a Series D funding round led by Japan's Mizuho Bank.


UK ????

Recognise Bank secured a £25m cash raise from its largest investor, PV27.

EUROPE ????

ID Finance closed a €30M equity round led by Kingsway Capital.

Two raises €18 million Series A, round was led by Shine Capital and Antler.

HeavyFinance raised €3 million during its seed funding round, led by VC firm Practica Capital.

USA ????

Tilia LLC announced additional financing as well as the appointments of Brad Oberwager as CEO and Catherine Porter as the company’s first Chief Business Officer.

Former Stripe engineer raises $4M for Beam in a seed funding round led by Accel, to help contractors get paid faster.

Wingspan closed a funding round a $14 million Series A, led by Andreessen Horowitz with participation from existing investors, which brings the company’s total raised to $23.5 million.

Rain secured a $250 million valuation through a $116 million funding round made up of $66 million in equity and $50 million in debt to speed up hourly workers pay cycles.

TTV Capital closed its sixth fund at $250 million, the largest since the firm was founded over two decades ago.

ASIA

PhonePe raised $200 million from majority backer Walmart at a pre-money valuation of $12 billion.

Proxtera announced the first close of its seed funding round by Ant Group, CerraCap Ventures, and EDBI. Details of the fundraise was not disclosed.

Turan receives $1 million to digitally move money around the Turkic States by United Payment, Colendi Ventures, and more.

Auros secured a $17 million fresh investment led by traditional high-frequency trading company Vivienne Court Trading and public bitcoin mining company Bit Digital.

TradeTogether announced the completion of its first close of seed funding led by US venture capital firm SOSV's Orbit Startups.?

MIDDLE EAST

Credable raised a $2.5 million seed round led by a pan-African VC fund, Ventures Platform Fund IV LP.
