A Donation Kiosk (JACK) to Save the Apes

Who knew, after 25 years of running an honest sincere company, I would get involved in monkey business, and be proud of it :).

On April 18th 2015, cash and credit card donations started pouring into our donation kiosk at the Houston Zoo's Ape habitat.

This kiosk is different from ones we have built in the last 10 years. It does not have a touch screen, but rather the old style lighted push buttons for visitors to select their cause (Gorillas or Chimpanzees) and then pay by credit or cash.

The kiosk is an instant hit. hundreds of dollars are pouring in daily. I wonder if the Apes know and feel a little love radiating out of it in their direction.

The two LED boards on the top of the kiosk, keep a running tally of the donation amounts (till date the gorillas @ about $1,600 are about twice as rich as the chimpanzees).

A large screen TV on top of the kiosk also plays videos of the Apes continuously and when someone makes a donation it displays a huge Thank You.

We are proud to say that not only do we at AdComp Systems love our JACK (Justified Automated Collections Kiosk); but our clients really go Ape for it too.
