Since that now famous tweet by J.K. Rowling, there have been a lot of discussions in the media about Donald Trump’s signature.
Websites like Huffington Post and Mashable have had a field day discussing her tweet about Donald Trump’s large signature.
In the tweet she said: “ I didn’t believe in graphology until about three
minutes ago.”
Why was that?
It was because she had just discovered a website that had a lot to say about large handwriting. And as she is no fan of Trump, the unflattering things mentioned there about large handwriting seemed to be a perfect fit for Trump's handwriting.
Of course there were positive things as well as negative things in the article but she focused on the negative descriptions because they matched her own thinking. Fair enough.
But whether one likes the individual or not, it isn't the way Graphology works. Graphologists analyze handwriting not individuals.
A very important part of graphology is impartiality. In graphology we do not judge the individual. We build personality descriptions by interpreting features based solely on the handwriting. It is never about judging. Or at least it shouldn’t be.
It's difficult to be non-political about such a controversial subject. But I'd be very interested to know what you think about it. And I'm only talking about the handwriting here!
