What is the Domestic RHI (DRHI)
The Domestic RHI (renewable heat incentive) was launched back in April 2014, a scheme created by the UK Government, which offered an incentive to those who generated their own heat and hot water. To be successful in claiming the scheme, the owner would be required to also install an RHI-approved heating/cooling meter.
Important information!
-??????????In order to continue to claim for the incentive, you must comply with the criteria laid out by OFGEM, which means the meter?MUST?be recalibrated or replaced at least every 10 years.
-??????????Energy must be produced using a renewable energy source –?see examples below.
-??????????Payments from the RHI would be used to offset your energy bill payments and the payments would be paid quarterly.
-??????????The scheme is now closed to new applicants as of March 2022, however, a change of ownership can still be requested.
Renewable applications examples: Biomass, Solar, GSHP and ASHP.
