Demonetisation has affected the inbound patients to a great extent. With the Media's role in overseas market, most of the channels show in detail about the Demonetisation and its impact. There are even talk shows conducted in which overseas subject experts participate for debate to convey their views on this subject.
The patients who have already planned the visit to India for their medical treatment, have postponed it indefinitely due to the present situation. They are managing with the existing medical treatment at their home town rather then taking risks in travelling. Some of the patients have already transferred their money to the hospital's account and some are prepared to use their Credit Cards and Debit Cards. There are also categories of patients who are being insured for their treatments and for them, it is not a major cause.
On discussion with few patients, we understood that they are appreciating the great move of the present government of India and they also say that such rules should be applicable in their country also.
On a personal note, I am happy to be a part of this revolution movement of India and I am sure that we will be seeing a colourful India in the future.
Thank you.

8 年I can't understand why people are so hopeful. corruption is in our DNA, it was before 1000 yrs back ,it is very much now and will be after 1000 yrs. just to take revenge on some political parties and few corrupt people , it a whimsical decision of a person who forgot his duty toward millions of common and innocent people. what I think he is living in a world of Utopia. No excuse is enough for the untimely death of 100 people, no excuse is enough , the pain, harassment, grief, agony he has given the people of democratic India, where the basic right of people has been taken out; sorry no excuse, no economics theory is enough to justify it.

8 年Demonetization, is a great movement n i think...its effect will imply economy, transparency & national integration; definitely more/less peoples n diff org. are facing some problem/s. Thank u v much Mr. Guruprasad Sir for sharing it.
Demonitization is a great move but I really don't see any impact on medical tourism industry . As the patients either transfer online or pay in dollars . Hotels also accept cards ya may be might face problem in cash dealing in market but really should not be a deterrent in going in for treatment. Rather economy in Nigeria has an impact .my personal views

8 年Patients' hospital bill payment does not seem a problem, as most hospitals accept major currencies, cards, and online transfer. Patient's worry is their day to day expenses of outside food, taxi etc which hospitals can help with. And yes it is revolutionary
