Dokter and Misses, the South African based product design company founded by husband and wife

Dokter and Misses is a product design company established in 2007 by industrial designer Adriaan Hugo and graphic designer Katy Taplin.

The husband-and-wife team who met while they were studying, now develop furniture, lighting and interior solutions for both private and corporate clients, as well as educational institutions.

Drawing inspiration from their surroundings, Adriaan and Katy’s signature style combines bold colours, clean modern lines and superb craftsmanship to produce a range of furniture and homeware products in a number of categories including Storage , Tables , Lighting , Beds , Seating as well as ?Mirrors and accessories.

With viewing Rooms in Kramerville, Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa, their collection and hand-painted pieces now form part of a growing catalogue of limited-edition collectible work that has been exhibited from 2008 till date across a number of cities around the world including Cape Town, Johannesburg, New York, Miami, Basel, London, Dubai, and Weil am Rhein.

Other collaborations include a presentation titled Weird Dream, a multimedia performance at Design Indaba 2017 which Dokter and Misses produced alongside artist Lindiwe Matshikiza, musician Jo?o Renato Orecchia Zú?iga, and conceptual performers Dear Ribane , with video and animation done by Chloe Coetsee and Dolph.
