According to a survey on the state of financial crime in the US, 64% of financial institutions (FIs) reported an increase in credit card fraud attacks. The focus of the survey was over 200 executives working at FIs with assets of at least $5 billion. These FIs also observed that fraudsters are constantly evolving their tactics, making it difficult to keep up.

According to a cyber-industry-based report, Nigeria is the second most cyber-secure country in Africa, after Senegal. The report found that Nigeria's cybersecurity has improved in recent years due to factors like the government's increased investment in cybersecurity and the growth of the cybersecurity industry in Nigeria.
Ghana Launches a New Cybersecurity Platform
Ghana's central bank, the Bank of Ghana, announced the launch of a new cybersecurity platform: the Financial Industry Command Security Operations Centre (FISOC). The platform is now integrated with all 23 commercial banks which the Bank of Ghana regulates. FISOC will be used to send these banks reports and alerts on cybersecurity threats so that they can act fast.
