On Doing The Thing That You Did Not Know That You Could Do.

Morning Pages and Pride.

I am alone and feeling elated.?

Firstly, I am in my house, and my favorite souls are not.?Like elves, they are out doing errands that will align with the holiday universe.?No barking or banter will interrupt these thoughts for at least one hour, and the thrill of quiet, I swear, is right up there with the afterglow of oxytocin.?They will return, and I will be ravished to see them, but for now, I am giddy with tranquility.

Secondly, I am celebrating an achievement that, like an uninvited guest, appeared as an unexpected opportunity, bearing precious gifts.?I owe gratitude to the CEO dressed as a coach, who assigned me a task with certainty that I would deliver. He left me to my own devices and, like an F1 driver, knew just when to feather the throttle.?We decide for ourselves what we can and cannot do – moreover, what we will or will not do.?We carry some of the richest rewards within us, realizing that we can reach beyond self-imposed limits and raise the operational bar for ourselves.?With gratification that has taken decades to fulfill, I am walking taller as I move with momentum and set a freelance high jump record from this year into the next.?
