Vistage is the world's largest and most comprehensive executive advisory organisation. They have more than 45,000 members in 36 countries, and, for over 65 years, they have helped CEOs, entrepreneurs and executives grow as leaders and people to improve their business results.?

In November members of my team at the Cloudfm Group and I will arrive in Lisbon to engage with other Vistage members and attend the host of talks over the multi-day event.??

It is especially exciting for the Cloudfm Group as we are the platinum sponsors for this year's event, meaning we have such a great opportunity to share our incredible technology with Vistage members.??

I will be delivering a talk entitled ‘Recruitment on Steroids-Attraction Engagement & Retention’. The purpose of these talks will be to get attendees thinking about how they attract and retain top talent.?

Like most other things in life, it’s all about how you make people feel.?

I will speak in depth about why people leave a business, how important a consistent brand is, how to go against the grain and switch up how you recruit, and how to foster loyalty and commitment in your teams.?

Nominated by the industry and judged by their own advisory board the awards provide an unbiased view on game-changing innovative leaders.??

I also was very proud to have been featured in the prestigious broadsheet, 'The Times'. I talk about the importance of showing vulnerability as a leader and I share my journey from starting Cloudfm to getting it to where it stands today.???

Early in June, I spoke with Tech Round about Cloudfm and how it came to be, what can be expected of us, and what our hopes for the future are. It was phenomenal to be able to take the time to reflect on how far we have brought the business and get excited about what is coming down the road.??

I chat about how we are utilising gamification and rewards systems to incentivise our supply chain and how we are using technology to bring about behavioural change. Looking to the future of the business I talk about the rise in popularity in using AR and the importance of offering the means for upskilling, rather than just throwing money at the problem.??

Changing the Mindsett of Our Clients?

?We recently announced the onboarding of a new client at the Cloudfm Group, the prestigious Rank Group, known for their Mecca Bingo halls and Grosvenor Casinos.??

This was huge for us in so many ways, but we were probably most excited by the fact that the Rank Group were just as keen to engage with us on our IoT technology as they were on our FM products.??

They are an incredible example of a business who are willing to take a step in the right direction when it comes to sustainability and reducing its carbon footprint. We have only had our Mindsett PRISM?? devices installed for about two months but the adaptation and behavioural change, and subsequent energy savings, we have seen so far is nothing short of phenomenal!?

Having installed our PRISM??at an initial 40 venues across the Rank Groups estate we promised and set a target of 12% saving on their energy. Within just the first three months we are seeing phenomenal figures of 20% savings, I cannot wait to see the outcomes in the next few months!??

The British Business Awards 2023?

I once again feel both humbled and privileged to be nominated in the category of ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ at the British Business Awards. I share the shortlist with some incredible businesspeople who serve as great inspiration to me.??

This year the awards enter their sixth year and hold even more significance as we have come out from under the challenges posed by the pandemic into new ones such as economic uncertainty, supply chain issues, war in Europe, and an energy crisis.??

Small to medium-sized businesses are going to be the hardest hit when there is a downturn, so it is incredible to be able to gather business leaders together to celebrate their innovations and achievements in such trying times. I look forward to the event in October!???

Cloudfest 2023!

That time is almost upon us again and we are counting down the days to Cloufest here at Cloudfm!

Back in 2021 we were celebrating 10 years of business while also looking for the light at the end of the tunnel that was the pandemic. We wanted to show our colleagues appreciation for all they had done, in both the previous 10 years, and specifically in the challenging two prior.

We hosted a wonderful festival-style end-of-summer party that had colleagues taking part in physical challenges, group activities, and talks throughout the day before their partners joined in the evening where we partied into the night!

I couldn't be more excited for this year which will not only be bigger and better but also more sustainable. We have taken measures, in consultation with our Head of ESG Katrina Christopoulos, to ensure this event runs as low carbon as possible.

We are hoping for some good weather in September so we can take stock and celebrate our colleagues and all the hard work they put in.
