Doing Excellent Things Is Hard

It takes A LOT to pull anything off excellently.

I personally think it takes so much more to pull off things that are designed for a global audience.

As an educator, I have come to understand that a lot of people think that trainings look super easy to pull off and I think its because they don’t get to see just how much effort it takes to deliver a quality learning experience.

So, before registration for my upcoming exclusive training on how to build strategic capacity for leadership officially opens up this Friday, I’m going to give you a peek behind the scenes of my personal process for putting together a women’s leadership training.

Putting together trainings require a lot of spiritual capacity so I prioritise spending time with God before I go into full swing.

Next, I take some time to analyse data from members of my exclusive leadership community and general data on the leadership landscape for women with my team. This typically gives me insight to what’s missing and how best our trainings can fill the gap.

While it has been affirmed that I am great at teaching people complex topics, I prefer to collaborate with other experts and educators as I believe it brings a more diverse perspective to learning.

Pulling off such collaborations means long calls and long hours which requires a lot mental capacity so, I always make it a point of duty to build my mental strength and prioritise self care.

In between the planning and curating I ALWAYS take self care breaks so I can recharge. This time, I went on a creative getaway and also threw myself into my sport of the moment - Fencing.

The best part of this process for me is designing the curriculum and general learning experience. Seeing the results that our trainings have had on the careers of our learners remains the biggest motivator for me.

Honestly, I am super excited for the the upcoming training because in addition to the training, I have rallied a few women who are thriving in global leadership and we will be getting in real raw & authentic conversations with them.
