The new report Doing Business 2016 has already been published (available here Doing Business 2016), providing an interesting view of how easy is doing business in a total of 189 countries. The methodology used maybe is not considering all key factors but it provides a very useful tool to identify which areas should be improved by establishing comparisons with other countries. Politicians, pay attention to it!
Spain ranks 23 out of 32 in the rich OCDE countries (the region which Spain is included in) and 33 out of 189 countries. Below you can see a table with all the variables analyzed and Spain′s position in every one. So, you can see that there are areas our politicians need to focus on and work to move them up in the rankings.
Implementing more reforms is very important taken into account that Spain has the second largest unemployment rate in the European Union (after Greece). To reduce this awful rate is very urgent the implementation of more reforms that encourage the creation of new companies and improve the sustainability of the existing ones by facilitating and simplifying their operations.
