I worked at NIH as an contractor and this past Friday my contract was terminated as a part of DOGE. I was completely taken back since I loved working at NIH and I belived in it’s mission. I have had several long cries because I miss my colleages and the work I did for the American public. I find it very sad that some people in the public celebrate the loss of jobs of both Federal employees and contractors.
