If it doesn't say Zappshelter on the box...
Folks, please listen me out. This is not a Far East-lampooning article, but when they try and pass off rubbish as good quality British or European kit, someone needs to speak out.
Remember the old Kelloggs ad? "If it doesn't say Kelloggs on the box, it isn't Kelloggs in the box."
It is no different for us. No, you cannot buy a Zappshelter for half the price. It is just not possible. Yes, there are cheap Far-Eastern copies floating around that come and go, but they are worlds apart in terms of quality. They are not structurally-engineered, have little or no warranty, and are often accompanied by those delightful Chinglish instructions that include "Be cautious with the surroundings." "Do not set up in wet location." "Keep the building away from such harmful things." "Chose a windless day to install the building." "All snow accumulation on the main cover should be removed" Such informative and useful guidance!
And, to round it off with a succinct and snappy slogan to fill you with confidence: "Structure your structure. Satisfy your satisfation" Hmmm! Even Google doesn't recognise the word "satisfation"...
If I stuck a Bentley badge on the front of a car made by Liuzhou Wuling Motors, would you buy it as a Bentley? Don't get me wrong: I expect Liuzhou Wulings make lovely cars, but they're not a Bentley, not by any stretch of the imagination. Yet when it comes to other markets, some people are so naive! And while we're on that subject, check this article here and tremble.
We are proud to be more expensive than the dross out there. Why? Because our product is thoroughly and properly designed and tested to exacting British engineering standards that has cost us £thousands to perfect. It will also outlast the cheapos in terms by years. The fabric is high quality. The steel is forged and formed to exacting standards. It won't blow into the distance nor will it collapse with a light dusting of the white stuff.
The moral of the story? You get what you pay for, every time.
One day we may launch a cheap Chinese product. Who knows? But if we do, it will be marketed as a cheap, inferior alternative from the Far East to our much-loved and respected brand. Why? Because there is nothing like Zappshelter out there.

7 年Correct Craig and thank you very much, you just won me a wee bet ??. ???? I would like to add a rider to my initial light hearted comment. I know you well enough to be sure that you wouldn't put your name to anything that is less than extremely good quality. #zappshelter
